NYPD MOTOR VEHICLE COLLIONS PREDICTION USING R-STUDIO

The Dataset taken into consideration is NYPD Motor Vehicle Collisions. The dataset has details of collisions that are reported in which people are injured or killed be it motorist, drivers, pedestrians, cyclist or passengers of the vehicle. We have taken into consideration a business problem where in NYPD wants to decrease the collisions and make the city safe. NYPD wants to make the city safe and wants least collisions. The analysis will help NYPD to predict and avoid collisions. NYPD can deploy more cops and more patrolling vehicles at the specified time and location where the accidents are occurring more.
The current challenge that we have is to retrieve the weather data based on the location and time, so that we can club the weather conditions with the data set and identify some useful insights based on weather condition. As per our initial analysis, there are some open source libraries that can be used for the same, but the same needs some further analysis.
Also, around 15% of the records don’t have location details & it is very difficult to identify the same. But, since the data set that was used is pretty huge for our analysis, those records can be ignored for any location related analysis.
